Jeju Yoga Kula's Spring Retreat was at the beautiful and peaceful Seogwipo Recreational Forest. The location offered forest surroundings with comfortable accommodation and a perfect seminar room to practice yoga and hold workshops. It was a great way to kick off the summer season and check in with personal self-care. Our workshops included making homemade products, 108 ohms, and many more.

October 2014 Fall Retreat
Jeju's Yogis and Yoginis united once again from the 24th to 26th October at a new (last minute yet very serene) venue, the training premises of Autoplus just outside of Jeju City. The location was graciously offered at no cost, coinciding perfectly with the retreats' theme of Gratitude!! In turn the yoga community were able to donate all proceeds to two worthy causes, one local and one in India. The end of a fantastic summer had us being grateful for more than we usually realize and taking time to focus on this left us truly appreciative.
September 2013 Fall Retreat
On the weekend of September 7-9 the Jeju Yogis and Yoginis once again gathered at their new location, the International Meditation Center. We were welcomed back with open arms and were very happy to be there once again. With the weekend's theme focused on how to rejuvenate ourselves, our practices, lessons, and meals aimed to help us find ways to rejuvenate our every day lives.
May 2013 Spring Retreat
On May 3-5, the Jeju Yogis and Yoginis gathered together for the spring retreat. Held at the International Meditation Center in Bonggae-dong, Jeju-si, for the first time, the retreat was an inspiring weekend. The theme of the weekend was "energy" and all of the yoga sessions, meditations, group work, and practice sessions revolved around ways to recharge your own energy, giving and receiving energy, and creating/keeping "positive" energy. As always, creating and sharing meals together as well as the Saturday evening music time, everyone found a space to reconnect with themselves and with others. At the end of the weekend it was difficult to leave such a powerful, energized, place, but everyone was able to leave with new lessons, new methods, and newly restored energy.
December 2012 Retreat
The Seogwipo Recreational Forest hosted the December 7-9 yoga retreat. With the theme of intention the group spent the weekend examining their current intentions and what they could do to keep focused on their intentions, make new intentions, or throw away some old intentions in the upcoming new year. Waking up to snow on the ground and practicing yoga in the naturalistic conference room while snow gently fell just outside the windows was a reminder to keep our intentions clear and pure.
April 2012 Retreat
On the weekend of April 13-15, just as spring was blossoming on Jeju Island, a group of yogis joined together at the Seogwipo Recreational Forest for a spring time retreat focusing on "self-awareness." The retreat forced everyone to ask themselves the question "How well do you know yourself?" Throughout the weekend the participants practiced ways to become more in-tune with their own bodies, minds, and spirits, and also how they could affect those around them. For a special practice at self-awareness and the effects you can have on others, the group practiced some basic acro-yoga with partners!
